How we work

When choosing an adviser, it is important to consider how the advice is structured. An adviser may be highly skilled in their field, but they will naturally provide their services from the perspective of their own area of expertise. This makes it essential to understand how the advice is composed, and which issues are taken into account.

Specialised in your situation

At PrivatRevision, we specialise in Danish and international tax for individuals.

To some, it may appear that we cover a wide range of specialist areas. We do not. Our specialism lies in our client group and in the tax-related issues, and adjacent matters, that this client group encounters.

Holistic advice

We work from the situations our clients typically face.

These may include capital gains, employee shares, buying and selling real estate, parental property purchases, inheritance planning, or other tax-relevant events.

Where you have interests both in and outside Denmark, questions often arise around the taxation of income, gains, pensions and inheritance — as well as which country the tax should be paid to.

This is where we are specialists. We have the breadth of expertise and experience needed to deliver holistic solutions.

We focus on what we do best

As a niche firm, we have chosen to focus on the areas where we can create the greatest value for our clients.

In return, our work is more limited when it comes to many traditional accountancy and legal disciplines, such as auditing annual reports, complex financial statements, mergers, restructurings and litigation. We leave those matters to others.

Advice that adds value

When we provide advice, it must be relevant and practical.

This may take the form of tangible savings, clarity, or resolving the issue the client is facing.

A good starting point is that the cost of advice should not be disproportionate to the value it provides to the client.

Competence, relevance and integrity

Our advice is based on three core values: competence, relevance and integrity.

We go to great lengths to find strong solutions for our clients — solutions that place the client in a favourable position, while also standing up in practice.

We work with complex issues, keep up to date with current rules and plan for both the short and long term.

A long-term relationship

Many of our clients stay with us for the long term.

Some ask us to solve a range of tasks each year. Others use us from time to time. What they have in common is that we do not need to start from scratch each time.

For us, the key is that our advice maintains a high level of expertise, is relevant to each individual client and is delivered with integrity.
